The running form session
The purpose of the hour long session is to video you and talk to you about your running form. I will also demonstrate to you some of the basic concepts involved in running gait analysis and re-education. The cost of the session is £100, which includes:
- Video running analysis using the latest software,
- Training review and feedback,
- Running history review,
- Email report detailing the results of the analysis and some suggestions re how to progress and improve your running.
Please come to my house for the session.
15 Brydges Close
Coming into Winchcombe from Cheltenham, go past the church on your left and then take left into North St. Go past all the shops, about half a mile, then turn right into Greet Rd. Go about half a mile, past the medical centre, and Pennylands Way is on your right. Take the second right off Pennylands Way, called Brydges Close, and follow the road round to the left. We are on the left facing the meadow.
What will happen
On the session, I will be asking you to run. Of the hour, you will probably be running for 15-20 minutes. The rest of the time we will be discussing running and we will be experimenting with different styles. So, be prepared to come and run, but you will not be particularly warm on a cold day if you just wear your running kit, so do come with a fleece if the weather is not so warm. Bring a drink if you think you will need one. If you feel ill on the day, it is better to not come, as I will be asking you to think as well as run, which is hard work if you don’t feel well.
To book your session please either call me using the button below, alternatively you can email me using the form on the contact page
Here is what some of my clients are saying…
Highly recommend. Fantastic knowledgeable and personalised session. Unbiased advice, yet up to date with current thinking and research. Only wish it lasted longer!
I had a really great experience at Runology. Jules was friendly, helpful and professional. She clearly explained how the session worked and what she would assess. She gave very supportive and useful advice about my running style and how to strengthen my approach and endurance. She was very helpful in advising on how to avoid injury. Thank you so much Jules.
Jules is an enthusiastic, inspiring and entertaining personal trainer. I attended a number of her strength and conditioning classes as preparation for 2016 Manchester marathon as I wanted to train smarter and focus less on plodding out the miles to the exclusion of other types of training as I have always done in the past.
The classes were small enough to permit plenty of individual attention and I was always clear on the reasoning behind each element of the class.
I felt much stronger and far less fatigued than normal during the latter stages of the marathon and also in the days after the marathon. Normally I suffer from bad DOMS but I was able to move freely and without soreness in the days following the race and, for the first time ever, run just a few days after the marathon. Normally I have to take at least two weeks off for my legs to recover!
I cannot recommend Jules’ holistic approach and results highly enough!
